Judge them on cue reliability

Since a vision board functions as a retrieval cue that directs attention [1], the right comparison is simply: which one will you actually encounter, daily, at a moment you can act?

The case for physical

A printed board on a wall cannot be scrolled past, closed, or buried under notifications. It occupies physical space and imposes itself on your routine. For most people this makes it the more reliable cue.

The case for digital

Digital boards are faster to create, easy to revise, and portable. As a phone lock screen they can achieve very high contact frequency.

The practical answer

Use both, with different jobs: a printed board as the stable daily anchor at home, and a digital version as lock screen or wallpaper for contact outside the house. Whichever you choose, the content rules still apply — specific goals, a named obstacle, a plan [2][3][4].
